About
I´m an Estonian animator and set designer. I´ve been working with Estonian animation studios such as BOP Animation, Nukufilm, Saturn Film and Rebel Frame, along with a solid track of freelancing. I´m driven by a profound passion for stop motion and traditional animation. My experience lies in a variety of animation techniques, which require both creativity and strong craft skills.
I gather inspiration from walks in nature, travelling, films and tv-series. Since childhood I´ve been mesmerized by theater and fine arts.
My interest of animation deepened during my stage design studies in Viljandi Culture Academy, and my first biggest role on animated films took place at Eesti Nukufilm. I´ve worked on several stop motion films, as an animator as well as set and puppet designer.
From 2022 I hold a degree in Animation from Estonian Academy of Arts. I´ve directed animated short films that have been selected for several international film festivals across the world.
I cultivate different animation techniques ranging from traditional 2D drawn animation, stop motion to 3D animations. I´m also experienced in oil painting animation on glass. Between 2019 to 2023 I did a collaboration with Rebel Frame studio, where I took part as an animator and concept artist on a oil painted short film "Schrödinger". It won the first price at the Baltic Pitching Forum 2021 as a best short film project in development.
